Guitar Lessons

The guitar has been my main instrument for the past 29 years. I spent much of my teenage years immersed in the rock and blues stylings of Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, and the more progressive styles of Alex Lifeson, Steve Vai, and many others. In my mid twenties, I returned to the acoustic guitar and spent much of my time listening to Davey Graham and Bert Jansch. Leo Kottke and John Fahey were two invaluable later influences.

I offer lessons in both acoustic and electric guitar styles, from beginner to advanced students. If you’re just learning to strum through your first song or need advice on advanced lead guitar styles or acoustic fingerpicking, just get in touch and we’ll take it from there. Lessons can be 30 mins or an hour, it’s up to you.

I am available in Edinburgh from 9am to 8pm on weekdays, and some weekends.

In Glasgow, I am available one Saturday a month, by arrangement.
